Please keep in mind the name you will see when in the app is associated with the email address you registered with.
What that means is, if you registered on Hats & Ladders with a parent or guardian's email address, it's likely their name will appear in the app for you. We recommend signing up with your own email address.
Follow the steps below, this may be able to help you change the name you see in the app.
If you would like to add or change your name that appears on the Hats & Ladders platform, and you logged in with a NYC.ID account, please follow the steps below:
Log OUT of Hats & Ladders app
Log in to the NYC.ID Site
Select the following tab: Name (default)
Next, enter your first name, middle initial, or last name.
Click the Save Changes button.
Log back into Hats & Ladders for DYCD
Once you log back in, your name will appear on the login screen.
